In a separate incident, a 24-year-old man died after being shocked by electricity in the water near Lanier Beach South Road. Two dead and One Missing After Tragic Incidents at Lake Lanier

HALL COUNTY, Ga. – A deadly weekend at Lake Lanier has left at least two people dead and one person missing. Hall County officials are working tirelessly to locate a 27-year-old man who went underwater and never resurfaced on Saturday. The search efforts will resume on Monday morning at Van Pugh Park, where the man was last seen swimming.

This unfortunate incident is just one of several that have occurred at Lake Lanier in the past week. On Thursday, authorities received reports of a man being shocked near Lanier Beach South Road in Forsyth County. The victim, identified as 24-year-old Thomas Milner, jumped into the lake from a dock and was electrocuted. Despite attempts by a family friend and neighbors to rescue him, Milner tragically lost his life.

In another incident on Saturday, Tracy Stewart was swimming near East Bank Park and never resurfaced. After an extensive search using sonar technology, Stewart’s body was found in 46 feet of water.

Authorities have confirmed that these three incidents are unrelated. The investigation into each case is ongoing, and the identity of the missing 27-year-old man has not been released. These tragic events serve as a reminder of the importance of water safety and precautions when enjoying recreational activities.
