“19-Year-Old Fatally Shot in Port Huron: Teenagers Arrested”

Two teenage boys have been arrested in Port Huron, Michigan, after allegedly shooting and killing a 19-year-old man. According to the Port Huron Police Department, officers received a report of shots fired in the 1300 block of Lapeer Ave. on July 12. When they arrived at the scene, they found the victim with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.

Other officers at the crime scene were able to obtain a description of the alleged shooter and his accomplice. Shortly after, two individuals matching the suspects’ description were spotted nearby. The pair attempted to flee from the police but were apprehended after a brief foot chase. They have been identified as two 15-year-old boys from Detroit.

During a search of the surrounding neighborhood, investigators found a firearm that they believe was used in the fatal shooting. However, they are still seeking additional witnesses and evidence in the case.

Port Huron police were assisted in the investigation by deputies from the Clair County Sheriff’s Office, officers from the Marysville Police Department, and troopers from the Michigan State Police.
