Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a heartbreaking turn of events in rural New Mexico, two individuals have lost their lives, a child has been injured, and a baby is missing following a harrowing incident on Friday.

The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) issued an Amber Alert for 10-month-old Eleia Maria Torres after the Clovis Police Department made a grim discovery at Ned Houk Park. The bodies of 23-year-old Samantha Cisernos and 23-year-old Taryn Allen were found at the scene, prompting authorities to launch a search for Torres, who was believed to be with her mother at the time.

Eleia Maria Torres, a 28-inch-tall infant with brown eyes and hair, was last seen with her mother before the tragic events unfolded. The NMSP shared a photo of the missing baby alongside the Amber Alert, urging the public to assist in locating her.

Desperate Plea for Information

During a press conference on Sunday, investigators shared limited details about the incident and appealed for any information that could lead to the safe recovery of Torres and the perpetrators behind the violence. Surveillance footage indicated that the victims had made a stop for food before heading to a local store in Clovis, shedding some light on their last known whereabouts.

Witnesses reported seeing two men entering Ned Houk Park, where Cisernos, Allen, and the injured 5-year-old girl were discovered next to their van. Despite hearing gunshots, a park visitor delayed reporting the incident to authorities, potentially hindering the initial response.

Authorities disclosed that the 5-year-old girl was receiving medical treatment for undisclosed injuries, while both children’s fathers were cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Deputy Police Chief Trevor Thron confirmed that search efforts around the park and nearby ponds did not yield any additional evidence to aid in the case.

Appeal for Public Assistance

The FBI and Clovis police are now urging anyone with information, regardless of its perceived significance, to come forward and assist in the search for Torres. No detail is too small in uncovering the truth behind this tragic incident.
