Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A man from Castle Point is set to face trial in St. Louis County Circuit Court next month for the theft of multiple iPhones almost a year and a half ago. The incident took place on September 15, 2022, at the Spectrum store located on St. Charles Rock Road in Bridgeton.

According to the probable cause statement from the Bridgeton Police Department, an employee reported the theft of seven iPhones from a display kiosk. Surveillance footage from the store allegedly shows the suspect, identified as Donntay D. Wallace, stealing an employee’s key to the kiosk on the day before the theft occurred. The footage reportedly captures Wallace returning the following day, unlocking the kiosk with the stolen key, and taking the phones.

Wallace was apprehended at a later date on an unrelated charge, during which police allegedly found one of the stolen iPhones in his possession. Subsequently, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Wallace with stealing an amount exceeding $750. A judge issued a summons for Wallace to appear in court on June 4.

This case serves as a reminder of the importance of securing valuable items and maintaining vigilance against theft. Businesses should take necessary precautions to safeguard their products and assets to prevent incidents like this one.
