Tragic Accident in Khandwa Claims Five Lives, Victims Identified

Five people were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a trailer truck in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. The car was completely crushed, making it difficult to identify the bodies at first. The victims were from Kasrawad village and were returning home from Punasa. The accident occurred just five kilometers from Punasa tehsil. The deceased have been identified as Alkesh Bharud, Manish Verma, Pukhram Namdev, Bharat, and Aditya Sharma. The bodies have been taken to their native villages for post-mortem. Five individuals lost their lives in a devastating head-on collision between a car and a trailer truck in Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh. The intensity of the accident was such that the car was completely crushed, making it difficult to identify the bodies initially. However, the police were able to determine their identities based on the car’s number plate. Tragically, the bodies of two young individuals were severely mutilated.

According to the Punasa police team, the accident occurred near Daulatpura Fanta, approximately five kilometers from Punasa tehsil. The deceased individuals were residents of Kasrawad village in Khargone district and were returning to their hometown from Punasa.

The victims have been identified as Alkesh Bharud (26), Manish Verma (36), Pukhram Namdev, Bharat (40), and Aditya Sharma (25). Alkesh, who had relatives in Punasa village, had visited his brother-in-law’s place along with his four friends.

Tragedy struck when Alkesh and his friends embarked on their journey home around 10 pm. Sadly, after covering a mere five kilometers, their car collided with a trailer truck, resulting in their untimely demise before any assistance could reach the scene.

Jagdish Scindia, the in-charge of the Punasa police outpost, stated that the collision occurred at 10 pm on Thursday night. The post-mortem examinations were conducted at Punasa Community Health Centre the following morning, and by 9 am, the bodies had been transported to their respective villages.

The news of this tragic incident spread quickly, casting a dark cloud of sorrow over the native villages of Dogawan and Kasrawad.
