The recent San Marco shooting remains an enigma, as the community mourns the loss of two individuals and endeavors to preserve their memory. The victims have been identified as Paige Pringle and Tara Baker. A close friend of Pringle’s expressed his desire to keep her story alive in order to seek justice for her. Pringle, who worked as a bartender in both San Marco and downtown Jacksonville’s Dos Gatos, was described as a radiant presence who will be greatly missed. The bond between Pringle and her friend, Liam Kiernan, was forged at Town Hall Jax, where they worked together. Despite their relatively short acquaintance of two years, they quickly became best friends. Kiernan fondly recalls Pringle’s infectious laughter that could brighten any room, and he reveals her passion for painting and her aspirations to establish local galleries. The loss of Pringle has devastated the San Marco community. On the tragic night of the incident, Pringle was shot multiple times, followed shortly by Baker’s tragic fate. Detectives are now seeking answers and relying on the community’s cooperation to solve the case. The Jacksonville Fraternal Order of Police President, Randy Reaves, emphasizes the urgency of keeping the case relevant, as the passage of time makes investigations increasingly challenging. To this end, the FOP of Jacksonville has raised the reward offered by Crime Stoppers from $3,000 to $13,000, aiming to raise awareness about the murder case. Reaves emphasizes the significance of eyewitness accounts and encourages residents to come forward if they observed anything suspicious in the vicinity of the crime scene that night. Reaves believes that community engagement is of utmost importance and hopes that the increased reward will motivate the people of Jacksonville to provide crucial information. Individuals with any knowledge related to the case are urged to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office or the Crime Stoppers hotline. The community will honor Paige Pringle’s life through a Celebration of Life event on August 28th at Underbelly in downtown Jacksonville. The event will feature live performances by bands, and all proceeds from the door, raffle, and silent auction will be dedicated to supporting Pringle’s family.
