A man has been arrested and charged with murder after a woman was found dead in a townhome in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Police responded to reports of gunshots and discovered the body of Elizabeth Todd, 45, at the scene. The suspect, Anthony Todd, was later apprehended at a motel. He has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. WYFF reported

A man has been apprehended by the authorities in Simpsonville, South Carolina, following the discovery of a deceased woman in a townhome. The police were alerted to the sound of gunfire in the vicinity of 630 Fairview Road, the location of the Foundry Townhomes. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found the lifeless body of a woman. The deceased has been identified as Elizabeth Todd, aged 45, a resident of the property. Through an investigative process, Anthony Todd was identified as the primary suspect. Subsequently, Todd was located at a motel situated on Fairview Road and Grandview Drive, where he was taken into custody without any resistance. He has been charged with the murder of Elizabeth Todd, as well as possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Todd has been transferred to the Greenville County Detention Center.
