The search is still ongoing for Terran Green, the individual who is accused of shooting Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy Joseph Anderson during a traffic stop. Various law enforcement agencies from across the state are actively trying to locate Green, who is believed to be 34 years old. Deputy Anderson, who is 29, is currently recovering and in good spirits after undergoing surgery for the two gunshot wounds he sustained. The shooting took place on Homestead Road in Harris County, Texas, and occurred shortly after Anderson began his patrol. Within minutes of Anderson being injured, emergency dispatch received multiple calls reporting the incident. The investigation into the shooting has led authorities to identify Terran Green as the shooter. A Blue Alert, which is issued to help apprehend individuals suspected of injuring or killing law enforcement officers, was issued for Green. James Green, Terran’s older brother, was initially considered a suspect but has since been cleared. James stated that he was in the car with his brother during the shooting and was on medication due to being shot a few weeks earlier. James confirmed that authorities questioned him and searched his house before releasing him without any charges. Terran Green, who remains at large, is described as a 5-foot-4-inch tall Black man weighing around 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a gray shirt and black shorts at the time of the incident. The vehicle Green was driving during the shooting was found abandoned at an apartment complex. Andy Kahan, representing Crime Stoppers, revealed that Green has an extensive criminal record and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest at the time of the shooting. Kahan believes that Green’s knowledge of his imminent arrest may have led to the shooting. Green’s criminal history dates back to 2007 and includes charges such as evading arrest, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, theft, and drug offenses. He has served multiple prison sentences, and the warrant for his arrest was due to failure to appear in court. Kahan expressed his desire for Green to have been held without bond or given a higher bond. The authorities are urging anyone with information on Terran Green’s whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, or the Houston Police Department. Several agencies have offered a reward of up to $45,000 for information leading to Green’s arrest. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez has expressed confidence in his team and the assisting public safety partners, assuring the public that it’s only a matter of time before Green is captured..
