The search warrant was executed on August 4, and the second body found was identified as Anthony Vayne, who died from a gunshot wound. The investigation also uncovered firearms and illegal substances at the property. Chad’s son, Dalton Holvig, was found on the property with gunshot wounds and remains hospitalized. Two bodies were discovered at a residence in Goodyear, Arizona by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. One of the deceased individuals has been identified as Chad Holvig, a missing father who was last seen in July. The search warrant was executed at a home near Roosevelt Street and Citrus Road. The cause of Chad’s death has not yet been determined. The second body has been identified as Anthony Vayne, who died from a gunshot wound. Sheriff Paul Penzone stated that both victims may have been on the property for a significant period of time, making it challenging to establish the time of death due to the decomposition caused by the elements, including high temperatures. During the search, firearms and illegal substances were found, and a tactical operation and SWAT team were utilized. Dalton Holvig, Chad’s son, was also found on the property with multiple gunshot wounds and remains hospitalized. He revealed that he had been held against his will. Chad and Dalton were last seen early in July when Chad visited his son at the Goodyear home. Roberto Bernal and Cristina Bernal, the residents of the house, have been arrested and charged with various offenses, including aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and kidnapping.
