Following the discovery of a deceased individual in a Toronto apartment one week ago, two individuals have been charged with first-degree murder.
The victim has been identified as Ahmed Hassan, aged 67.

Authorities have identified the victim as Ahmed Hassan, a 67-year-old resident of Toronto, making him the 39th homicide victim in the city this year.
The body of Hassan was found in a residential unit located in the vicinity of Bellevue Crescent and Weston Road, near Lawrence Avenue West, on August 9. Law enforcement responded to the area at approximately 6:35 p.m.
In an official statement released on Wednesday, the police announced the arrest and charges of a 29-year-old man from Toronto, who is scheduled to appear in a Toronto court on Thursday.
The news of this arrest followed the previous day’s announcement of the arrest and charges against a 38-year-old woman from Toronto, who was set to appear in court on Tuesday.
The police have not disclosed the cause of Hassan’s death nor have they released a photograph of him.
