One of the music and entertainment industries’ most influential figures has passed away. Clarence Avant, an executive and businessman, played a pivotal role in advancing the careers of musicians, entertainers, sports stars, and politicians across generations.
In a statement released to NPR, Avant’s family announced that he peacefully passed away at his Los Angeles home on Sunday at the age of 92. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
