The California Highway Patrol reported that the fatal crash occurred at approximately 1:36 a.m. on the Riverside (215) Freeway, close to the Alessandro Boulevard off-ramp.
According to reports, a white Tesla and a white Kia sedan were both traveling at high speeds when they collided with the back of a big rig.
Emergency responders from the Riverside County Fire Department were called to the scene and were able to extricate one person who was trapped in the wreckage.
Tragically, Oscar Mancillas Jr was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
As a result of the crash, four lanes of the freeway were blocked until the scene was cleared.
