In Colorado Springs, Colorado, two police officers were reportedly injured while dealing with a suspected drunk driver. The incident took place at the location where two separate DUI-related crashes occurred on South Academy near Fountain Boulevard on Friday night. Initially, authorities received a report of a three-car collision at 10 p.m., but upon arrival, they discovered that there had been two separate accidents in the same area. The second crash was caused by the first one, involving two additional vehicles, according to a statement from a lieutenant in the Colorado Springs Police Department. The driver involved in the second crash refused to cooperate with the police and became combative, resulting in a physical altercation between the officers and the individual. Fortunately, only minor injuries were sustained by the two officers, and no other individuals at the scene were harmed. The female driver responsible for the original crash, identified as 39-year-old Sheena Armstrong, was cited for DUI as well as other traffic violations. The male driver involved in the second crash, identified as 23-year-old Deointae Edmonds, was also cited for DUI and obstruction charges. Both drivers were subsequently released at the scene..
