An SUV crashed into a tree in Concord Township, Ohio, resulting in one fatality and three children being taken to the emergency room. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, but the children were. Alcohol and drugs are suspected to be factors in the crash. Paul Kiska reported

Concord Township, Ohio (WJW) – An SUV crashed into a tree in Concord Township, resulting in the death of one person and the hospitalization of three children, as reported by the Chardon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The incident occurred on Saturday, just before midnight, on SR 86 near Carter Road. The driver of the 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe lost control of the vehicle, veering off the road and colliding with a sign and a tree. Sadly, 51-year-old Jody Miller from Painesville, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene. The three children, aged 11 and 5, who were also in the vehicle, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. It is worth mentioning that the children were wearing their seatbelts, while the driver was not. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, alcohol and drugs are suspected to have played a role in the accident. Authorities are currently investigating the incident further..
