Teen Injured in Wreck on S Highway 99

An Olpe teenager sustained minor injuries in a car accident on Thursday evening. The accident occurred on S Highway 99 when the driver, 15-year-old Addyson Broyles, veered off the road and rolled into a ditch. Broyles was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Emporia Gazette reported

An adolescent from Olpe suffered minor injuries following a car accident that occurred late on Thursday evening. According to Deputy Nathan Rankin of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department, emergency services and deputies responded to a report of an injury accident on the 500 block of S Highway 99. The incident involved a red 2001 Ford F150 truck. It was determined that the driver, identified as Addyson Broyles, a 15-year-old resident of Olpe, was traveling northbound on the mentioned block of S Highway 99 when the vehicle veered off the road and entered the east ditch for reasons unknown. After re-entering the roadway, the truck rolled into the west ditch and came to a stop. Broyles, who was wearing her seatbelt, was subsequently taken to the hospital by a private individual for evaluation of what is believed to be minor injuries..
