A suspect has been arrested in Fresno County, California, after a man was found dead in a garage. The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Miguel Luis Gutierrez Jr, was apprehended in Ceres. The victim, 39-year-old Ismael Orlando Herrera Jr, was discovered by a homeowner. FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — A suspect has been apprehended following the discovery of a deceased individual in a garage in Fresno County last week.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the arrest of Miguel Luis Gutierrez Jr, a 41-year-old resident of Ceres, on Sunday.

Authorities sought public assistance in locating Gutierrez after identifying him as the prime suspect in the killing of Ismael Orlando Herrera Jr, aged 39.

The lifeless body of Herrera was discovered by a homeowner inside their garage near the intersection of Blythe and Clayton Avenue at approximately 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 1.

Investigators have not yet disclosed any details regarding the cause of Herrera’s death.
