A tragic incident occurred on a Sonoma County highway when a truck belonging to a moving company collided with three vehicles, resulting in the death of one individual. The California Highway Patrol reported the crash, which took place at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday along Highway 116 (Stage Gulch Road), about 4 miles east of the Lakeville junction.

According to the CHP, a box truck traveling in the eastbound direction veered over the double yellow lines on the two-lane highway, subsequently colliding with three cars traveling in the opposite westbound direction. The vehicles involved were a Lexus driven by a 67-year-old woman from Sebastopol, a Chevrolet Camaro driven by a 63-year-old man from Sebastopol, and a Jeep SUV driven by a 43-year-old woman from Rio Vista.

Regrettably, the driver of the Camaro, identified as Anthony Scott, tragically lost his life at the scene of the collision. The other three drivers suffered varying degrees of injuries, ranging from minor to moderate, as stated by the CHP.

Due to the severity of the incident, the road remained closed until approximately 12:30 a.m. the following day, causing disruption to traffic in the area.
