The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office swiftly responded to the scene on County Road T at approximately 3:20 p.m. The authorities observed a Ford Transit van and a motorcycle involved in the crash. Regrettably, the motorcycle’s driver, identified as Steven J. Olson, aged 69 and from New Richmond, Wisconsin, succumbed to his injuries at the accident site.
Preliminary findings from the sheriff’s office suggest that the van, driven by a 29-year-old individual from Baldwin, Wisconsin, was traveling southward when it veered across the center line, colliding with the northbound motorcycle. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation, as authorities seek to determine the exact cause of the collision.
