Animal Control Deputies from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene on Faussett Road after a previous dog attack incident. The deputies found the lifeless body of a 68-year-old man with a dog actively biting him. The dog, which was identified as a Mastiff mix breed, had been involved in another dog attack where a local resident sustained severe injuries. The deceased victim was the owner of the dog. Due to the aggressive behavior of the dog, it was euthanized on-site to allow medical aid to be administered. No foul play is suspected, and the victim’s body was transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing for an autopsy. The official cause and manner of death are currently pending investigation..
