State Police Investigating the Cause of the Collision

A tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon when a man lost his life in a car accident on Interstate 89 in Warner, New Hampshire. The New Hampshire State Police announced that the driver’s vehicle veered off the highway and collided with trees.

The authorities received a distress call just after noon, reporting the crash on I-89 north, near mile marker 16.6. Upon arrival, troopers found the wreckage of an Infiniti that had left the roadway and entered the center median before crashing into the trees.

The driver, identified as 60-year-old Douglas E. Malone from Windham, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. The police have not yet determined the cause of the collision and are conducting a thorough investigation.

State police were assisted at the scene by the Warner and Hopkinton police and fire departments, as well as the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
