A 72-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of killing a Nevada City man on a rural Nevada County road. Deputies found the 61-year-old man lying on the side of the road, outside his vehicle, which showed signs of damage. The victim’s cause of death is pending an autopsy. Anthony Eric Stewart has been identified as a suspect and remains in custody without bail. 72-Year-Old Man Arrested for Murder on Nevada County Road

A 72-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday on suspicion of killing a man in Nevada City. The incident occurred on a rural road in Nevada County, where a passing driver reported seeing a lifeless body lying on the side of the road. Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies quickly responded to the scene at Tyler Foote Crossing Road and Black Sands Mine Road, north of Nevada City.

Upon arrival, the deputies discovered a 61-year-old man outside his vehicle, which displayed signs of exterior damage. The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed. After conducting a thorough investigation, the Sheriff’s Office determined that the man’s death was a result of homicide.

The suspect, identified as Anthony Eric Stewart from North San Juan, was apprehended on Sunday under suspicion of murder. Stewart was subsequently booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility, where he is being held without bail.
