A 72-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a man on a Nevada County road. The victim was found dead on the side of the road with signs of damage to his vehicle. 72-Year-Old Man Arrested for Alleged Homicide in Rural Nevada County

A 72-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday under the suspicion of killing a man in Nevada City. The incident occurred on a remote road in Nevada County, where a passerby reported a lifeless body lying on the side of the road at the intersection of Tyler Foote Crossing Road and Black Sands Mine Road.

Upon arrival, Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies found a 61-year-old man lying outside his vehicle, which displayed signs of exterior damage. The victim’s identity has not yet been disclosed. After further investigation, detectives concluded that the cause of death was a homicide.

The suspect, Anthony Eric Stewart from North San Juan, was apprehended on Sunday and has been charged with murder. He is currently being held without bail at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
