BIRMINGHAM (AP) — Skeletal remains discovered on a private hunting property in Graysville, Alabama have been identified as those of Michael Lynn Dillard, a 49-year-old man who had been missing for over three years. Dillard, a resident of Tarrant, Alabama, was reported missing on April 1, 2020, and was last seen alive on November 24, 2019, near Brookside, according to al.com.
The human bones were found on December 13, 2022, and were confirmed to be Dillard’s through DNA testing, announced Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates on Friday. An autopsy conducted on the remains did not provide any conclusive information regarding the cause of death.
