Officials from the Hancock County Fatal accident Crash Team (F.A.C.Team) are investigating a crash between a motorcycle and pickup truck that resulted in the death of the motorcycle rider. The accident occurred on U.S. 36 (Ind. 67) between McCordsville and Fortville. The motorcycle rider, identified as Robert Siuzdak, 30, of Avon, was pronounced dead at the scene despite wearing a helmet. The crash involved a Kawasaki motorcycle and a Chevy Silverado pickup, with the motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles in a no-passing area before colliding with the Silverado. Motorcycle Rider Killed in Hancock County Crash

HANCOCK COUNTY — A tragic accident between a motorcycle and a pickup truck claimed the life of a motorcycle rider on Sunday afternoon. The crash, which occurred between McCordsville and Fortville on U.S. 36 (Ind. 67) in Hancock County, was investigated by the Hancock County Fatal accident Crash Team (F.A.C.Team).

The motorcycle rider, identified as Robert Siuzdak, a 30-year-old resident of Avon, was pronounced dead at the scene despite wearing a helmet. The driver of the pickup truck, Bradley Adkins, a 39-year-old resident of Greenfield, reported no injuries and cooperated fully with the investigation.

The crash took place at approximately 4:25 p.m. and involved a 2006 Kawasaki Motorcycle and a 2014 Chevy Silverado Pickup. Witnesses stated that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and passing several vehicles in a no-passing area just before the collision.

According to officials, the Silverado was crossing both lanes of U.S. 36 to continue north on CR 400W when the collision occurred. The Kawasaki, traveling at a high speed, crossed over into the westbound lane and collided with the side of the Silverado.

U.S. 36 was closed for approximately two hours while the F.A.C.Team conducted their on-scene investigation. At this time, drugs and alcohol are not suspected as a cause of the crash. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
