Blooming Grove Township, Pike County – State Police Confirm Fatality

A tragic motorcycle accident on Interstate 84 over the weekend has claimed the life of a man, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. The incident occurred on State Route 304 between I-84 West and I-84 East in Blooming Grove Township.

The victim has been identified as James Kuhl, a 64-year-old resident of Allentown. State troopers responded to the crash scene around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, where they discovered that Kuhl had been driving his motorcycle when he veered into the northbound lane and collided with the guide rail.

Reports state that Kuhl was ejected from his motorcycle upon impact. Emergency medical services (EMS) immediately attempted to revive him through CPR, but unfortunately, no signs of life were detected. Pocono Lehigh Medical Center authorized the pronouncement of Kuhl’s death at the scene.
