Small Airplane Crashes into Hangar in Southern California, Three dead

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday in Southern California when a small airplane crashed into a hangar, resulting in a fire and the deaths of all three individuals on board. The aircraft crashed during departure from the Cable Airport in Upland, California, just as it was about to leave. The incident took place at approximately 6:30 am Pacific Time, and only the pilot and two passengers were killed.

Prompt response from the San Bernardino County Fire Department prevented a larger catastrophe as firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the flames engulfing the crashed plane. The hangar, which houses helicopters for the Ontario Police Department’s Aviation Unit, suffered moderate damage. Fortunately, no one else, including the firefighters, was injured during the incident.

Authorities have identified the crashed aircraft as a Beechcraft P35, but the names of the victims have not been released to the public. The Federal Aviation Authority and the National Transportation Safety Board are currently investigating the crash, and no further details have been disclosed at this time.

This is not the only plane crash in Southern California this month. On July 8, a Cessna C550 crashed near Murrieta, resulting in the deaths of six individuals. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are also investigating that incident.

As investigations continue into both crashes, our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and loved ones of all those affected by these tragedies.
