ORLANDO, Fla. – Tragedy struck early Wednesday morning at Disney World’s Contemporary Resort near the Magic Kingdom theme park in Florida as a Wisconsin man was found dead. According to deputies, the victim has been identified as 39-year-old Jeffery Vanden Boom, who succumbed to blunt force trauma after falling from a hotel balcony.

The Orange County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of death, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 5:33 a.m. on July 26. Authorities discovered Vanden Boom unresponsive on the hotel grounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Disturbingly, a Reddit user reported witnessing the incident and revealed that guests had been explicitly warned not to go on the balconies. “I’m pretty sure someone just died at our hotel. We got a call at 7:30 someone had a medical emergency and not to go on the balconies, and then they had people redirecting us,” the user shared on the platform.

The tragic event has been ruled as an accidental fall from the balcony of Vanden Boom’s hotel room, highlighting the importance of adhering to safety guidelines in such establishments.
