Police have released the name of a woman who tragically lost her life in a two-vehicle collision near Whangārei in Northland on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Tania Alberta Tarau, a 55-year-old local resident.
The accident took place on Ngunguru Road, close to East Rockingham Road, at approximately 5.50pm.
A police spokesperson expressed their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this challenging time.
Two other individuals involved in the crash sustained moderate injuries.
