SIOUX COUNTY, Iowa – A tragic single-vehicle accident in Sioux County resulted in a woman becoming trapped under a vehicle and losing her life. The incident occurred on Sunday and sent two individuals to the hospital.

According to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on 300th Street near Filmore Avenue. The driver was unable to navigate a curve in the road, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and enter a ditch. The impact with a cement culvert caused the passenger to be ejected from the car, and the force of the collision sent the vehicle airborne.

Following the vehicle’s landing, the passenger became trapped underneath it.
