A young man named Shakti Chandan Mohanty was left with severe injuries after being shot by two unidentified miscreants at Mangala Chhak on NH-53 in Kendrapara district. The incident occurred today.
Mohanty, a supervisor in a private organization from Mahira village in Jagatsinghpur district, was riding his bike when the miscreants on a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle intercepted him. They attempted to snatch a bag he was carrying.
When Mohanty resisted, the miscreants fired at his abdomen and quickly fled the scene. Local residents found him lying in a pool of blood and promptly rushed him to the district headquarters hospital in Kendrapara. Due to his deteriorating condition, he was later transferred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The Marsaghai police were notified and have initiated an investigation into the incident.

Local residents found Mohanty lying in a pool of blood and immediately rushed him to the district headquarters hospital in Kendrapara. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

The Marsaghai police were informed about the incident and have launched an investigation. The motive behind the attempted bag snatch is yet to be determined.

This incident highlights the need for increased security measures and vigilance to ensure the safety of individuals in Kendrapara and the surrounding areas.
