Two people have been identified as victims in a fatal shooting in Southeast DC. Charles Luster, Jr., 56, and Tyjon Clayton, 20, were shot and killed on Friday, July 28. The shooting took place near Hendley Elementary School. The suspects fled the scene in a red Jeep SUV. Police are asking the community for help in finding the suspects. Two individuals have been identified as the victims of a fatal shooting that occurred in Southeast DC. Charles Luster, Jr., 56, and Tyjon Clayton, 20, were shot on Friday, July 28, in the 4200 block of 6th Street SE. Despite the efforts of officials, one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.

Video footage from the scene shows two men fleeing the area where the shooting took place and getting into a red Jeep that quickly sped away. The initial investigation revealed that a four-door red Jeep SUV was involved in the incident, with two individuals exiting the vehicle and opening fire.

In response to the incident, community leaders have called for an end to gun violence in the neighborhood. Smith, a spokesperson, stated that the community has the right to live peacefully, and urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist with the investigation.
