The fatal accident occurred at 12:30 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023, near Zumbehl Road, an area that was congested with construction cones.
The collision involved a pickup truck and a semi-truck.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the pickup truck driver failed to notice the stopped semi-truck in the construction zone and hit the rear of the vehicle.
