“Man Dead, Another Critical After Drive-By Shooting in Hartford: Victim Identified”

A drive-by shooting in Unity Plaza, Hartford, has left one man dead and another in critical condition. The incident occurred on Tuesday night, prompting a prompt response from the Hartford Police Department. Authorities were alerted to the scene after a ShotSpotter notification, finding two men with gunshot wounds outside a business on Barbour St.

Efforts to save one of the victims’ lives were made by officers before he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Marion Edwards from Windsor. The other victim remains in critical condition and is receiving treatment at an area hospital.

According to Hartford police Lt. Aaron Boisvert, the two individuals who were shot were not the intended targets of the drive-by shooting. The person who was intended to be targeted managed to flee the scene, leaving the innocent victims behind.
