Two separate incidents of gun violence occurred in Philadelphia on Monday and Tuesday, resulting in fatalities and injuries. The first shooting took place at a gas station in the Feltonville section of North Philadelphia. A group of 15 people were gathered in the parking lot when a gunman fired nearly 30 shots from a passing white sedan. Two individuals, a 35-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, were struck by the gunfire. The 35-year-old victim, identified as Jameel Cooper, succumbed to a fatal chest wound, while the 21-year-old man suffered a grazing wound to the stomach.
The incident was captured on the gas station’s surveillance cameras, and authorities are currently speaking with witnesses to gather more information. In the second incident, a report of a shooting was received in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a 55-year-old man shot to death in the backseat of a parked minivan. It is believed that the assailant opened the rear passenger door and fired, hitting the victim in the head and torso.

The victim was known to frequent the area in his minivan, according to neighbors. Homicide investigators are reviewing real-time cameras and business surveillance footage to identify the suspect. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with either shooting.
