The shooting also injured two other individuals and resulted in the death of one man. The incident took place in an apartment on Maple Avenue, and the investigation suggests that the shots were fired between the suspects and someone inside the apartment.

When police arrived at the scene, they also discovered a vehicle crash at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Benton Street. The driver of the vehicle had suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to Hartford Hospital in critical condition. The teenage girl was rushed to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead a few days later.

The investigation led to the arrest of Carlos Frank-Nieves, who was charged with several offenses, including home invasion, criminal attempted murder, and impersonating an officer. Police believe that additional charges will be added as the investigation continues.
