“Motorcycle Collision Claims Life of James Turcotte, Arrest Made”

A tragic motorcycle accident in Newbury, Massachusetts has left one man dead and another under arrest. The collision occurred on Thursday night when two motorcycles crashed into each other on Route 1 South. One of the motorcyclists fled the scene, while the other, identified as 63-year-old James Turcotte of Danvers, sustained serious injuries. Turcotte was rushed to Anna Jacques Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The second motorcyclist involved in the crash, 55-year-old Scott Dambrosio of Boxford, was eventually tracked down and arrested by the Boxford Police. Dambrosio has been charged with operating under the influence, negligent operation, and leaving the scene of a personal injury collision resulting in death. He pleaded not guilty to operating under the influence of liquor during his arraignment in Haverhill District Court.

Authorities are urging any witnesses or individuals with video surveillance in the area overlooking Route 1 or on Middle Road in Newbury to come forward and provide information to assist with the investigation. The police can be contacted at 978-462-4440.
