Two men have been arrested and charged with capital murder in connection to a deadly mass shooting in a bar parking lot in El Paso, Texas. The shooting resulted in the death of two individuals, while four others were wounded. Andrew James Williams, 20, and Aaron John, 22, are currently being held in the El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $2.5 million each.

The incident occurred outside the Ditzy Duck Bar on Airway Boulevard. The shooting followed an argument that started inside the bar and spilled out into the parking lot. James Nicholson, 26, was killed in the shooting, and Alexa Retana, 27, died from her wounds at University Medical Center.

El Paso police obtained surveillance footage from a neighboring business that captured the shooting and the events leading up to it. The footage showed an assault, followed by Williams and John pulling out handguns and firing into the crowd.

After receiving a description of the vehicle used by the suspects, Ft. Bliss Military Police stopped the vehicle at the post entry gate, approximately 8 miles from the bar. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact the non-emergency line.

In light of this incident, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission office is now investigating the Ditzy Duck Bar. It is currently unknown if the bar has had previous issues or complaints made against it.

This tragic event has once again highlighted the need for increased efforts to prevent gun violence and ensure public safety. The community of El Paso mourns the loss of the victims and hopes for justice to be served..
