Abu Dhabi: A 37-year-old United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Indian social media influencer, Shanifa Babu, met with a tragic demise after falling from the 19th floor of her building near St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Fujairah.
The late Shanifa Babu hailed from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, in South India. The unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday morning, May 25, leaving her family and followers in shock and grief.
Shanifa was married to Sanuj Babu, a businessman running a construction company in Fujairah, and was a doting mother to two daughters.
Sanuj took to Instagram on Saturday to share the heartbreaking news, stating, “My Wife left me today at 8.30 am, leaving me alone and my two angels. May her soul rest in peace. Pray for her.”
Media reports indicate that Shanifa’s body is currently in the hospital mortuary, while her husband is being questioned by the authorities.
In a similar tragic incident in October 2023, a 17-year-old Indian boy lost his life after falling from the 6th floor of a residential building in Ajman, UAE.
