Prince Mavi : Noida Police Stops Delhi Man’s Reckless Driving, Arrests Him | Noida News

NOIDA: A 25-year-old man from Delhi was apprehended on Friday for allegedly putting pedestrians at risk by driving his SUV recklessly on a street in Noida, as per reports from the police department.

The individual in question, known as Prince Mavi, has been accused of flouting road traffic regulations and has been slapped with a fine of Rs 35,000 as a penalty.

Social media footage captured Mavi driving his SUV on a road near a university in Noida, making abrupt stops dangerously close to pedestrians and causing them distress. The videos highlighted that the victims of his actions included young men and women who were on their way to college.

“On Friday, a video went viral on social media depicting a Mahindra Thar with a Haryana registration performing dangerous stunts, endangering the lives of individuals on the road near a private university in Sector-125, Noida,” stated a police spokesperson.

“Based on the video evidence, a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at the local Sector-126 police station, leading to an investigation and the subsequent arrest of the driver, accused Prince Mavi, son of Pitambar Mavi, residing in Hari Nagar Extension Part-2 in Delhi,” the official added.

The authorities have confiscated the vehicle involved in the incident.

Furthermore, the traffic police have issued fines totaling Rs 35,000 to Mavi for contravening several regulations under the Motor Vehicles Act. The infractions included the use of tinted windows, a defective number plate with discriminatory references, dangerous driving practices, and non-compliance with prescribed air pollution standards.
