A wanted fugitive was apprehended in McCracken County, Kentucky on Tuesday following a routine traffic stop conducted by the local authorities.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office reported that a vehicle was pulled over on May 21 after a deputy observed the driver committing various traffic violations.
The driver, identified as Joe Nathan Carter hailing from Paducah, was discovered to have an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court as required. The warrant was issued in connection with a 2023 indictment related to drug charges.
Upon his arrest, Carter was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, further complicating his legal situation.
Following the arrest, Carter was transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail where he faces charges for traffic violations, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was served with the outstanding warrant.
