In a heartbreaking turn of events, a recent high school graduate from Terrell County, Georgia, lost his life in a car crash on Monday. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of the morning on Bobby Locke Road, has left the community in mourning.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash involved a single vehicle, a white Ford F-150. The vehicle was travelling south on Bobby Locke Road when it veered off the highway while navigating a curve, ultimately travelling onto the east shoulder for approximately 260 feet.
Tragically, the truck collided with a culvert, causing it to become airborne and strike a guy wire. The impact was severe, leading the vehicle to continue southbound while still airborne, until it ultimately crashed into a tree, coming to a halt on its side.

Tragically, a passenger in the vehicle, Vansh Patel, was ejected from the truck during the crash. The driver, identified as David Mullins, was pronounced dead at the scene. Patel sustained injuries and was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
David Mullins had recently graduated from Deerfield-Windsor High School, where he was a standout student and athlete. His untimely passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire community.
Brian McCrae, the head football coach at Deerfield-Windsor High School, took to social media to express his grief over Mullins’ passing. In a heartfelt Facebook post, McCrae described Mullins as an incredible young man and extended his condolences to the Mullins family and all those affected by the tragedy.
Coroner Michael Fowler revealed that Mullins had been awarded a $2,000 scholarship from the Albany Rotary Club and had plans to attend the University of Georgia. The Deerfield-Windsor School community is rallying around Mullins’ family during this difficult time.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to support Mullins’ family with funeral expenses. The outpouring of support from the community has been remarkable, with donations exceeding the initial goal by a significant margin.
As the investigation into the crash continues, the Georgia State Patrol is expected to release more information in the coming days. The loss of David Mullins has left a lasting impact on those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.
