Accident – Death – Obituary News : SAN ANGELO— The Wall ISD educator who was previously arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor is facing additional charges after being apprehended by the US Marshals.
Joshua Carroll, aged 33, was taken into custody on May 13, 2024, for Online Solicitation of a Minor and has now been arrested again by the US Marshals.
The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office revealed that on March 20, 2024, they were informed by Wall ISD administrative staff about multiple female students under the age of consent receiving sexually explicit messages and other forms of communication from an unidentified individual.
This individual, later identified as Carroll, utilized TikTok and a messaging app to contact these underage students. Investigations uncovered that Carroll engaged in sexually explicit conversations, described sexual activities, and attempted to obtain explicit photos from female students. Shockingly, he even shared pornographic material with a student who was younger than 15 years old.
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, Carroll was arrested by the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, and a search warrant was executed on his electronic devices at his residence and at Wall High School. Several underage students confirmed that they were targeted by Carroll during the investigation.
Wall ISD Superintendent Russell Dacy informed San Angelo LIVE! that the school district is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
Carroll had been working as an assistant band director at Wall ISD since January 2022.
Following his arrest on May 14, 2024, Carroll was released on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, after posting a $45,000 bond.
The disturbing case has sent shockwaves through the local community, with parents and guardians expressing deep concern over the safety and well-being of their children. The school district is taking steps to ensure the safety of all students and is providing support to those affected by this troubling situation.
