Two lives were lost in a devastating car crash that occurred in the early hours of Monday morning on Highway 59 near Ginger Blue, Missouri. The incident, which took place at around 12:14 a.m. on May 13, 2024, was confirmed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash involved a 1985 Chevrolet Corvette that was heading northbound. The driver, identified as 25-year-old Dane R. Paulson from Anderson, Missouri, tragically lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the right side of the road and collide with a tree. The impact of the crash was severe, resulting in the total destruction of the car, which had to be towed away by Ray’s Towing based in Lanagan, Missouri.

Regrettably, Dane R. Paulson, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by McDonald County Deputy Coroner B.J. Goodwin at 1:16 a.m. His body was later taken to the McDonald County Coroner’s Office for further examination.

Travelling as a passenger in the Chevrolet Corvette was 27-year-old Hevenlee R. Williams, also from Anderson, Missouri. Like the driver, Williams was not wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred. Tragically, she too sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was also transported to the McDonald County Coroner’s Office.

This heartbreaking incident marks the 32nd and 33rd fatalities within Troop D’s jurisdiction for the year 2024. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash was supported by Corporal M. K. Eden and Trooper W.M. Graham.
