The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a golf cart within Sun City Palm Desert. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 PM on Mojave Sage Street and Bonanza Drive, as reported by CHP.
According to CHP Officer David Torres, the collision took place at a four-way stop intersection within the private county club community. The injured individual, identified as 80-year-old Sam Karagavoorian of Palm Desert, was swiftly transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Rancho Mirage by AMR. Unfortunately, Karagavoorian was pronounced dead at the hospital nearly an hour after the incident.
