Law enforcement authorities received a distress call around 9:25 p.m. reporting a stabbing incident near the entrance of the 46th Street–Bliss Street subway station in the Sunnyside neighbourhood.
Upon arrival, the authorities discovered the young girl with a severe stab wound to her neck. She was swiftly transported to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was tragically pronounced dead.
