A 10-month-old girl has been reported missing in New Mexico following the tragic discovery of her mother and another woman who were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
An Amber Alert has been issued for Eleia Maria Torres by the New Mexico State Police. The baby girl is described as 28 inches tall, weighing 23 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
Tragic Discovery
The Clovis Police Department responded to Ned Houk Park near Clovis on Friday at around 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless bodies of 23-year-old Samantha Cisneros and 23-year-old Taryn Allen near a silver minivan. A five-year-old girl, believed to be Cisneros’ daughter, was also found with a head injury and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
At the scene, authorities found an infant car seat, stroller, and baby bottle, indicating that a baby may have been present during the tragic incident. Through conversations with family members, it was revealed that Cisneros was the mother of both the injured five-year-old and the missing 10-month-old Eleia.
Search for the Abducted Baby
Despite ongoing efforts, there is currently no identified suspect in the case. However, authorities suspect that the individual responsible for the deaths of Cisneros and Allen may have fled in a maroon Honda.
The New Mexico State Police continue to investigate the incident and are appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the safe return of Eleia Maria Torres.
