Accident – Death – Obituary News : New Mexico authorities have issued an urgent Amber Alert for a 10-month-old baby following a tragic incident where the infant’s mother and another woman were found shot dead, with a 5-year-old child injured. The Clovis Police Department (CPD) released a statement stating that the missing child, Eleia Maria Torres, was abducted by the shooting suspect and is currently in “imminent danger.” Torres is described as 28 inches tall, weighing 23 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

The investigation began after CPD received a distressing call around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, reporting the discovery of two women’s bodies at Ned Houk Park near Clovis. The victims, identified as Samantha Cisneros and Taryn Allen, both 23 years old and from Texas, New Mexico, were found with apparent gunshot wounds near a silver Dodge minivan. Additionally, a 5-year-old child was found at the scene with a head injury, prompting officers to provide immediate medical assistance.

The injured child was swiftly transported by Clovis EMS to Plains Regional Medical Center before being transferred to a hospital near Lubbock, Texas. As of Saturday evening, the child’s condition remains unknown. Investigators expressed concern upon finding a car seat, stroller, and baby bottle at the scene, indicating that a small child had been present during the tragic events.

Through interviews with family members, authorities learned that Samantha Cisneros was the mother of both the injured 5-year-old and the missing 10-month-old, Eleia Maria Torres. Investigators suspect that Torres was abducted by the perpetrator and emphasize the urgency of locating the child. Despite ongoing investigations, no suspect or motive has been identified for the shooting and kidnapping.

The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) disclosed that the suspect is believed to be driving a maroon Honda, urging anyone with information to come forward. NMSP highlighted the importance of locating Eleia Maria Torres and requested the public to contact the Clovis Police Department or call 911 with any relevant information.
