Man Fires Shotgun on West Rancho Dominguez Rooftop at Deputies

An investigation is currently underway following a tragic incident where a man was shot dead on a rooftop in West Rancho Dominguez after allegedly firing a gun at deputies. The incident took place in the 14600 block of Cahita Avenue near Rosecrans Avenue around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday. Response from Law Enforcement

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies were faced with a dangerous situation as the suspect fired multiple times at them. In response, a Bearcat and personnel from the department’s Special Enforcement Bureau were summoned to the location. Homicide Lt. Steven De Jong revealed that the suspect even targeted the helicopter, firing four to six rounds at it. The helicopter was hit by gunfire at least once during the altercation.
