The driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban was travelling eastbound on Hwy 3128 when they failed to stop at an active flashing red light at the intersection of Hwy 107. The Chevrolet entered the southbound lane of Hwy 107 and collided with a southbound 2007 Nissan Murano.
Victims of the Accident
The driver of the Chevrolet, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. However, the passenger, identified as Dion Allen, aged 49, also not wearing a seatbelt, tragically lost his life and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
On the other hand, the driver and two passengers of the Nissan were all wearing seatbelts and suffered only minor injuries in the collision.
Investigation and Further Action
In the aftermath of the accident, routine toxicology samples were collected from the individuals involved and submitted for analysis to determine if any substances played a role in the tragic event.
