PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The Portland Police Bureau’s Missing Persons Unit is seeking assistance from the public in locating a missing and endangered elderly man in the Brentwood-Darlington neighborhood in Portland.
Details of the Missing Person
The missing individual has been identified as Khamphoun Vongkhamchanh, aged 90. He is described as being 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. Mr. Vongkhamchanh, whose native language is Lao, was last seen wearing a plaid white or grey flannel shirt, slacks (possibly blue), blue shoes, and possibly a beanie.
He was last spotted on Monday around 2 p.m. walking westbound on Southeast Harney Street from Southeast 77th Avenue in the Brentwood-Darlington neighborhood. Typically, he takes a walk around the block and returns home.
Concern for Welfare
Khamphoun Vongkhamchanh has been diagnosed with dementia, a condition that adds to the urgency of finding him promptly. Despite extensive searches by both his family and law enforcement officers in the vicinity of his residence, he remains unaccounted for.
